Clinics are back and in a new location

New clinic location

We are back up and running our Thursday & Friday clinics. We have some key Covid precautions to keep both you and us protected. Here’s more info:

What should I do to prepare for the procedure?
You will need to (ideally) oil your ears twice a day for 1-2 days before the procedure. You can use olive oil, it’s best if it’s warm. For the best results place a few drops in your ear canal, then make a plug from cotton wool and vaseline, this will keep the oil in, leave the plug in for 30mins or so.

What Covid precautions will I be taking?
I will perform the procedure in full PPE and ask that patients wear a mask, I can provide a mask if you don’t have one. Before and after the procedure I will socially distance as per government guidelines and I have allowed 10 minutes between each appointment to clean thoroughly.

Location & parking
18 Charles St, Bath BA1 1HX. Please press the buzzer that says ‘Bath Ear Care’. Emma will let you in. The clinic is along the corridor and down the stairs.
Patients can park for free in Sainsbury’s (2min walk away) for 1 hour 30mins, which is plenty of time.

Please note that due to Covid restrictions there is nowhere to wait should you arrive early. So please arrive on time if possible. If you are going to be late, please call Emma on 07966 205 663.

Accessibility
There are a few steps down to the clinic, and no wheelchair access unfortunately, so if you have mobility problems then a home visit might be more appropriate.

How long does the procedure take?
It depends on how blocked your ears are. We allow 30mins for each appointment this is usually enough time even for the most stubborn wax.

What if I need to cancel or change my appointment?
That’s fine of course, however we do ask that you let us know at least a 24 – 48hrs beforehand if possible, the more notice we have the better, so we can offer the appointment to someone else.

How much does it cost?
£65 for two ears or £45 for one ear (this includes an examination).

Payment
We accept cards, cash, bank transfer and cheques
